1. GCHQ Warns of Black Friday Cyber-threat.
The National Cyber Security Centre, part of the GCHQ intelligence service has warned that Black Friday sales could be targeted as ‘prime pickings’ for cyber-crime and ‘malicious’ online threats.
It is the first such official cyber-warning in the run-up to the Christmas shopping season.
With more and more shoppers looking to get the best deals online, retailers continue to invest significantly in developing the right tools and expertise to protect against cyber-threats.

2. Cryptocurrency Value Drops More Than $60 billion in Less Than a Week.
Cryptocurrency markets have lost more than $60 billion in value in less than a week, following a price crash that has caused bitcoin, ethereum, and ripple to hit their lowest levels since 2017.
The price falls appear even more dramatic given the remarkable period of stability that preceded it, which had prompted speculation around why the cryptocurrency collapse has happened focusses not on bitcoin but its spin-off, bitcoin cash.
3. US Government Asks For Allies To Implement Huawei Ban.
The US Government is trying to persuade foreign mobile operators and internet service providers (ISPs) in allied countries to drop all equipment from Huawei Technologies.
It seems the issue from the US is due to Huawei’s alleged links to the Chinese government and them being under scrutiny about the cybersecurity risks.
Earlier this month, the German government were urged to ban the use of Chinese equipment – like that from Huawei – in their 5G networks.
4. Cambridge Hosts China-UK Tech Challenge.
Pupils from Cambridge University recently joined young people from China for The Future Engineer Youth STEM Maker UK Challenge 2018 project aimed at inspiring future scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians.
Teams of young people aged from 9 to 16 took part in a series of competitions, including imagining how the Internet of Things could transform people’s lives in the decades ahead.
